The path first headed down to the river and then climbed back up hill leaving the forest and entering open farm land. There were good views all around. However rain showers started and we spent some time sheltering under hedgerows. When the rain stopped we headed back down through farmland to the Wye.
The rest of the way into Builth was mostly beside the Wye, sometimes through forest sections, sometimes over open farmland. It was showery all day but for the most part we didn't need to wear our waterproof clothing.
The path did a sharp right turn just before Builth and we crossed over a river bridge shortly after. The river was flowing the wrong way! However we crossing the Irfon, a tributary of the Wye, not the Wye itself. The path returned down the Irfon to join up with the Wye and enter Builth via a pleasant park.
The roads in Builth were extremely busy. We reached our b&b at 3pm just on time to check in.
